Gantz Reveals Deadline for Military Operations Against Lebanon

Israeli war cabinet minister Benny Gantz announced during a tour of the northern border area with Lebanon that by September we will complete our mission here and be able to start a new reality. He added, "It will either happen through diplomacy or escalation... but we cannot afford to lose another year here." He considered that the greatest operational challenge today is in the northern arena and in northern Israel, while the greatest moral challenge is in the south, in the Gaza Strip. He continued: "Therefore, alongside the fighting, the right thing to do at this time is to return the captives and work to bring the residents of the north back to their homes safely and return Israel to the right path," emphasizing that "it will not be easy."
