Chinese technology company Honor launched its new smartphone "Magic 6 Pro" today, showcasing an AI-enhanced trial version that allows users to unlock and move their cars remotely just by looking at their phone screens. This feature is already available in China, and the company is working to commercialize it abroad. Honor was sold by Huawei Technologies in November 2020 and is now a subsidiary of the Shenzhen government’s subsidiary.

According to International Data Corporation, Apple captured a 17.3 percent market share in China in 2023, while Honor obtained 17.1 percent. Honor is also launching today the new laptop "Magic Book Pro 16," featuring AI capabilities that allow users to transfer programs like messaging apps between devices, for instance, from an Android smartphone to a Windows computer with just a swipe on the screen. Honor's CEO George Zhao stated in a press release that the company firmly believes in the importance of enabling seamless transitions between different operating systems, especially in the age of AI.
