Title: U.S. State Department: Israel Has the Right to Defend Itself Against "Hezbollah"

The U.S. State Department stated this Thursday evening that "(Hezbollah) is conducting cross-border strikes and Israel has the right to defend itself." They added, "We are clear with the Israeli government that one of our priorities is to prevent the conflict from escalating further." Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir reiterated today the necessity of a comprehensive war against "Hezbollah," emphasizing, "We must enter Lebanon and destroy (Hezbollah), and we are capable of doing so."
