A British newspaper reported that an expert on security and defense stated that Israel may use an electromagnetic bomb against Iran if Tehran decides to strike strategic Israeli sites in response to the attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, which resulted in the death of seven members of the Revolutionary Guard, including a prominent commander.
The expert told the "Daily Star" that the only option Israel might have is to use this unconventional weapon against Iran. He explained that "for the first time in history, the electromagnetic bomb will be used, a new type of bomb that will be dropped on Tehran and other central areas in Iran, including Iranian nuclear facilities."
The newspaper noted that this weapon relies on creating an "electromagnetic pulse" that disrupts infrastructure and electronic devices.
On the other hand, the Israeli newspaper Maariv celebrated the "Daily Star" report, pointing out that this weapon "disturbs the Iranians" and "changes the equation," as stated.
