Houthi Claims: One of Our Operations This Week Targeted the Mediterranean

The leader of the Yemeni Houthi group, Abdulmalik al-Houthi, indicated today, Thursday, that "one of our operations this week targeted the Mediterranean." In his weekly address, al-Houthi stated: "We have carried out 8 operations with 15 missiles and drones in the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Indian Ocean." He added: "The number of targeted ships has reached 119 so far, and this week we shot down two American MQ-9 aircraft in the airspace of the Marib and Al-Bayda governorates." Al-Houthi noted: "The MQ-9 is one of the most important American armed reconnaissance aircraft, and shooting it down is considered an important achievement for air defense." He further stated that "direct operations from Yemeni territory will have an impact, and the economic repercussions on America and Britain continue with rising prices and shipping costs, as most goods are transported by sea."
