Aqis "Determines" 5 Demands Regarding the Syrian Displacement File

Member of the Strong Republic Bloc, MP George Aqis wrote on his X account: "What is required today regarding the Syrian displacement file, quickly: 1- Opening the Lebanese maritime borders 2- Issuing a law in the parliament preventing the government from accepting international aid and donations if their goal is to facilitate the establishment of Syrian displaced persons 3- Activating the work of the surveillance towers provided by Britain, extending along the Lebanese-Syrian border. 4- Obliging the UN High Commissioner for Refugees to deliver to the Lebanese General Security a readable, trackable, and analyzable database on Syrian displaced persons, under the threat of judicial review to compel it to do so." He added, "The matter has surpassed the failure and official negligence in addressing it, reaching the level of high treason against everyone held responsible for solving this crisis, who does not bear it."
