Israel Declares State of Maximum Alert After Attack Announcement

The Israeli army confirmed on Saturday evening that Iran launched drones from its territory towards Israeli lands. Israeli army spokesperson Daniel Hagari announced that "the Iranian drones will need hours to reach Israel, and alarms will sound in any area threatened by the drones." He affirmed that "the air force is currently patrolling."

The spokesperson for the Israeli military in Arabic media, Avichai Adraee, indicated that "the Defense Forces remain on alert and continuously assess the situation."

Meanwhile, Israeli Channel 12 reported that Iran launched dozens of drones at targets in Israel, expecting their flight time to take hours. Retired General Amos Yadlin stated in an interview that the drones are equipped with twenty kilograms of explosives each, and that Israeli air defenses are prepared to intercept them. Iranian media reported that more than 50 drones were launched towards Israel.

Additionally, a security source revealed that Iranian drones crossed through the provinces of Al-Nasiriya and Maysan in Iraq. Three security sources further reported that several drones were seen flying from the direction of Iran over the Iraqi province of Sulaymaniyah.
