On Thursday, Hezbollah's military media published the specifications of a new weapon used in targeting the Metula settlement at the southern Lebanese border. Hezbollah referred to the new missile as the "S5," stating that it is a 55 mm unguided missile.
It was mentioned that the "S5" measures 1.4 meters in length and weighs 5 kg, with a range of up to 4 km. The missile is utilized by fighter bombers and helicopters, and it operates on solid fuel with a high-explosive warhead.
Hezbollah’s military media further described the new weapon as being equipped with a mechanical impact fuse. Earlier, Hezbollah announced in a statement that the Islamic resistance attacked the Metula site, along with its garrison and vehicles, using armed drones equipped with "S5" missiles at 1:38 PM Thursday.
It confirmed that the drone, upon reaching the designated point, launched its missiles at one of the Israeli army vehicles and the personnel gathered around it, resulting in casualties among them. Following that, it successfully completed its strike on the intended target with precision.
