Foreign Ministry Welcomes International Court Ruling: To Curb Israeli Aggressions

The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants welcomed the recent ruling by the International Court of Justice regarding the immediate cessation of Israeli military operations in the city of Rafah, the opening of the city's land crossing to ensure humanitarian aid reaches all areas in Gaza, and allowing international committees to enter and investigate Israeli practices and violations. This ruling represents an important opportunity to put an end to Israel's aggressions and its displacement policies and to launch a serious and effective political track that leads to a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause, based on the two-state solution, in accordance with relevant international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative launched at the 2002 Beirut Summit, thereby enhancing peace and security regionally and internationally. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also calls on the international community and the United Nations to intensify pressure on Israel to implement this ruling and other relevant international legitimacy resolutions.
