Arrest of a Motorcycle Theft Gang in Rashaya

As part of the ongoing efforts by the Internal Security Forces to combat motorcycle thefts from various regions in Lebanon, the Information Branch managed to pinpoint a gang operating in the villages and towns of Western Bekaa, using a white "Toyota Camry." Following extensive investigations and surveillance, the branch identified the members of the gang, who are: R. S. (born in 1988, Lebanese), A. S. (born in 1993, Lebanese), A. A. (born in 1990, Palestinian). It was found that they have prior convictions for theft and forming a robbery gang. After precise monitoring, one of the branch's patrols spotted them in the town of Deir al-Ahmar – Rashaya, in the aforementioned vehicle, and they were apprehended in a well-planned ambush, despite their attempts to flee. A knife was found in their possession. During the investigation, they confessed to the charges against them, admitting to carrying out numerous motorcycle thefts in the villages and towns of Western Bekaa, including: Kherbet Rouha, Al-Rafid, Ain Ata, and others, and that they were selling the stolen motorcycles in Baalbek. Legal measures were taken against them, and they, along with the seized items, were referred to the relevant authority, as per the instructions of the competent judiciary.
