Iraq: 8 Dead in "Catastrophic" Traffic Accident in Al-Muthanna

The Civil Defense Directorate announced today, Sunday, that 8 people were killed in a horrific traffic accident in Al-Muthanna Governorate. A statement from the directorate mentioned that "Civil Defense teams had to use hydraulic cutting and separation devices to cut through the metal wreckage and retrieve (8) bodies resulting from a collision between two passenger vehicles on the highway near the Fadak checkpoint in Al-Muthanna Governorate." The statement also noted that they "secured the transfer of the bodies to Al-Hussein Educational Hospital in the governorate."
