Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai urged the Lebanese expatriates to promote local products and food industries as this brings in hard currency to Lebanon. Regarding the political situation, Rai said during the divine liturgy: "If our politicians felt the gift of the Holy Spirit, they would free themselves from their personal interests for the common good." Rai questioned how any politician could fulfill their crucial role without resorting to the Holy Spirit, indicating that if they had done so, they would have elected a president who creates a clean environment and adheres to national constants.
