The following statement was issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division: "As part of the measures being undertaken by the Internal Security Forces to apprehend wanted individuals and those disturbing public order within the city of Tripoli during the month of Ramadan, orders were given to the specialized units to intensify their patrols in various areas of the city and to work on arresting wanted individuals and suspects involved in different types of crimes." The statement continued: "Between March 10, 2024, and March 23, 2024, patrols from the Information Branch in Tripoli conducted checkpoints, ambushes, and raids, resulting in the arrest of 24 individuals for crimes including gunfire, attempted murder, causing harm, drug use, theft, and possession of unlicensed weapons. Additionally, a quantity of stolen items, firearms, motorcycles, and various narcotics were seized in areas such as Beddawi, Al-Tall, Al-Mankoubin, Abi Samra, Bab Al-Raml, Al-Qobbeh, Al-Mina, Al-Dom and Al-Firaz, Al-Mahjar Al-Sihhi, Jabal Mohsen, and Al-Tabbaneh. Legal procedures were carried out regarding the detained individuals, and they were referred along with the seized items to the relevant authorities as per judicial instructions."
