Robbers Climbed into Their Victims' Homes While They Slept and Stole From Them

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement: "As part of the daily monitoring carried out by the Internal Security Forces to combat theft operations across various Lebanese regions, specialized units intensified their patrols in areas frequently affected by such incidents. As a result of the follow-up, the Information Branch detected a gang whose members were carrying out theft operations from inside homes by climbing, in several areas of Mount Lebanon.

Consequently, the specialized units of the branch were tasked with initiating field and inquiry procedures to identify the members of the aforementioned gang and arrest them. Following extensive investigations and inquiries, it was revealed that the gang members were using a white 'Nissan Sentra' car, which led to identifying them, including: A. F. (born in 1988, Syrian), M. S. (born in 2003, Syrian), and M. Q. (born in 2004, Syrian).

On December 28, 2023, after precise surveillance, the branch's patrols managed to arrest them in a simultaneous operation in the areas of Jbeil and Maameltein, and they seized the 'Nissan' vehicle. During interrogation, they confessed to the accusations against them regarding carrying out, in collaboration with others, dozens of theft operations from homes in the areas of Kesrouan, Jbeil, and Metn through climbing during the early hours of dawn after confirming that the residents were asleep. They used the mentioned car to steal everything available to them, in addition to several failed attempts.

Legal proceedings have been taken against them, and they were referred to the competent authority, while efforts continue to apprehend the other involved parties. Therefore, based on the judicial directive, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces circulates the photos of the arrested individuals and requests that those who fell victim to their actions contact the number 513732-01 to take the necessary legal actions."
