Support for the Fine Against Sherine and Rejection of Mohamed Shaar's Civil Lawsuit

The Sheikh Zayed Misdemeanor Appeal Court, convening in South Giza Court, ruled to reject the appeal filed by the artist Sherine Abdel Wahab against the verdict imposing a fine of 5,000 Egyptian pounds for her violation of defamation, slander, and libel against producer Mohamed Shaar. The court also rejected the civil lawsuit, deeming it inadmissible and referring it to the competent court. On March 9, 2024, the Sheikh Zayed Misdemeanor Court had convicted Sherine Abdel Wahab and fined her 5,000 pounds for her defamation against producer Mohamed Shaar, while referring the civil case to the appropriate court.
