Iraq International Festival Hosts Stars in Baghdad

A large number of stars gathered on the red carpet on the night of Tuesday, October 3, 2023, for the opening of the first edition of the Iraq International Awards, presided over by Shatha Hassoun. Hala Sedki was honored with a second award as the Best Actress in the Arab World for her role in the series "Jafar Al-Omda," expressing her happiness through a video she shared on Instagram as she received the award, stating, "A second award for Best Actress in the Arab World, thank you, thank you, Iraq."

Ramy Sabri was also honored and received the award for Best Arab Singer of 2023 for his song "Yemkin Khair," commenting on his recognition: "From beloved Iraq, the award for Best Singer of 2023 at the Iraq International Festival. A thousand thanks to the Egyptian and Arab audience, and a very special thanks to my friend, the artist Shatha Hassoun."

Zainab Hussein received the award for Best Young Arab Female Singer at the Iraq International Festival, while Bader Hakim was awarded Best Young Arab Male Singer. Lebanese musician Michel Fadel was honored during the ceremony for his overall contributions to the music world. Alexander Al-Omari was awarded the Audience Award for Best Young Iraqi Drama Actor of 2023 for his role in the series "Hira." Iyad Radi also won the award for Best Iraqi Drama Actor of 2023. Daniela Rahma won the award for Best Lebanese Actress of 2023.
