Jemayel: Our Problem is That We Are Hostages Under Occupation by a Lebanese Tool

Lebanese Kataeb Party leader MP Sami Jemayel emphasized that "the disagreement in Lebanon is not about the name of the President or the formation of a government or the passing of laws, but rather that there is an armed party that is funded and orchestrated from abroad that seeks to impose its will on the Lebanese people." During a membership ceremony for the party held in the Batroun region, he addressed those who come to Lebanon with the intention of reconciling between Lebanese factions, saying: "We do not ask anyone to do this work, as we can resolve our disputes as Lebanese by turning to the Parliament and adhering to democratic laws, which should be the decisive factor."

Jemayel pointed out that "our issue is that we are hostages under occupation by a Lebanese tool, and the countries wanting to assist Lebanon must work to lift this occupation, which involves the existence of foreign powers intervening in its affairs, funding Lebanese parties, and arming them, and we must put an end to this intervention as it places us in impossible choices." He mentioned that "the presidential elections in Lebanon have concluded, and we are faced with a new reality. Elections occur within a specific timeframe, which has already elapsed for months, and have their own mechanisms that were violated, undermining the procedures based on which they are carried out. Elections should assume equality among the Lebanese, which is absent in the presence of armed forces."

"What we are witnessing today, in a scientific constitutional sense, is a coup being executed by Hezbollah on the Lebanese state to permanently take control of the country. Any narrative suggesting that this is merely a disagreement among the Lebanese is, in reality, a deception. The truth is that there is an armed militia controlling the country, executing assassinations, threats, and disruptions to impose its desired president against the will of the Lebanese people, and this is the reality."
