A fire broke out this Sunday morning in a large shopping center that houses 1,400 stores and service outlets in the Bialoleka area of the Polish capital, Warsaw. A fire department official stated that more than 80 percent of the center is engulfed in flames, and rescue operations are being carried out by 50 teams, including specialists in chemical and environmental rescue. Footage broadcast by the private channel TVN 24 showed thick black smoke rising over the area. A police spokesperson told the PAP news agency that no injuries have been reported.
