The Kirkuk Police Command in Iraq announced today, Wednesday, the arrest of a suspect who ran over a traffic officer in the province. The command stated in a statement that "after an individual hit a traffic officer with his vehicle while attempting to stop the car, a work team was immediately formed under the supervision of the Kirkuk Police Chief, the Director of Criminal Investigations, the Director of Emergency Police, and the patrols, along with the Director of the Al-Qouriya Police Station. After identifying the vehicle and chasing it for half an hour, the suspect was arrested, and the vehicle was seized." It emphasized that it "will not tolerate those who attempt to violate or assault any employee tasked with service," noting that "legal procedures have been taken against him to refer him to the competent court to receive his just punishment."
