On Saturday, May 4, poet and writer Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud passed away at the age of 75. Born on April 2, 1949, Prince Badr grew up in a household of knowledge and literature, with his father being a creative poet and possessing a large library from which the prince drew inspiration.
Badr bin Abdulaziz authored a significant number of poetic works covering various themes, including pride and romance. His education spanned Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Britain, and the United States, greatly influencing his intellectual formation.
Prince Badr held several positions, including the president of the Saudi Poetry Society in Saudi Arabia. He authored a number of poetry collections, such as "What the Bird Engraves in the Date's Frond," "The Bedouin's Letter," and "Our Lord's Painting Poem."
He received numerous honors, including recognition from King Salman bin Abdulaziz, who awarded him the Saudi Order of King Abdulaziz. He was also honored by UNESCO and was recognized by the Al Qurain Festival in Kuwait in March 2024.
