Raa'd: The Khaala Incident Was Due to Incitement and Hatred from Others

The head of the "Loyalty to the Resistance" bloc, MP Muhammad Raa'd, stated that "the repercussions of the unfortunate incident that occurred in Khaala were due to the incitement and hatred that others emit, and their commitment to a path that is not the path of righteousness suitable for the country, the homeland, and our community in all its sects and regions." During a memorial ceremony held at the Husseiniya of the southern town of Hadatha, MP Raa'd said: "This matter is not simply about a truck that overturned in Khaala, which prompted a reckless reaction from some instigators who responded to instructions from dark rooms that directed them. Rather, it was a matter of stance towards the resistance, as they do not want resistance in this country nor even a small trace of its impact. This truck is a result of the resistance, but such trucks transport what serves to guard the resistance for the safety of those who oppose it, for the safety of the Lebanese, and for their sovereignty in their homeland." He added: "If it were not for the resistance, the Israeli would still be at Baabda Palace. So where was Khaala when the Israeli was at Baabda Palace, and where was the dignity and pride of the Lebanese when the Israeli's boot ruled over the barriers between the roads in the capital and extended to the south? Those who do not recognize the value of the resistance should reconsider their patriotism."

Raa'd emphasized that "we do not fight for a position or for a seat of power, and by the testimony of our adversaries, we concede in power any matter that obstructs our work in the resistance. This is commitment to the truth, and because the resistance has this level of readiness to defend the homeland, Israel's allies instigate some fools among us in the country to incite against the resistance. These are short-sighted individuals, and we must tolerate them because they are our fellow citizens, but they should be careful to ensure that mistakes cannot be repeated. Do not make us think further that you are short-sighted and that you want to escape your commitments under the Taif Agreement, knowing that those who do not want the resistance do not want the Taif Agreement, and thus you should be mindful of where you lead the country."
