The General Directorate of Civil Defense at the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities issued the following statement: "Following the guidelines issued by the General Directorate of Civil Defense to alert citizens of the dangers they face during this time of year, the General Directorate stresses the importance of being cautious about leaving children inside cars for extended periods, especially under intense sunlight, which may expose them to serious health risks that, in some cases, could lead to death."
