The Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation in Indonesia announced that Mount Ibu volcano erupted again today, Thursday, spewing lava and rocks. Images and footage from the center showed that the first eruption occurred around 1:30 AM local time, with lava and rocks shooting out like bursts of light around the crater. The second eruption took place at 7:46 AM local time and lasted for two minutes, during which ash was ejected up to an altitude of 1,200 meters. A representative from the center stated, "The volcano warning status remains at level four or above," and the center has prohibited any activities within a seven-kilometer radius of the volcano's crater.
