The Egyptian prosecution issued a decision today, Thursday, to present media figure Riham Saeed for a forensic examination to verify the accusations she made against a Lebanese cosmetic surgeon, claiming he assaulted her and caused her permanent disability due to medical negligence. Riham Saeed is currently undergoing a medical examination to prove that she was subjected to neglect and disfigurement, and that the doctor violated laws during the surgery.
Riham Saeed provided her statements to Counselor Mohamed Ayman, as reported by "Al-Sumaria," from eleven in the morning until now. In her statements, she accused the doctor of disclosing her secrets, recording her without her consent, violating her privacy, and insulting her. She began recounting the details of the incident, explaining that she approached the doctor in Beirut, considering him a famous surgeon after noticing some changes in her face due to weight loss.
She continued that she requested him to perform a surgical procedure to lift her cheek, and he asked her to film the cosmetic procedures and publish the photos as a form of advertising without payment, due to the high cost of the surgery. After undergoing the procedure and returning to Egypt, she was shocked by a gradual change in her face, resulting in full disfigurement below her eyes and on the upper sides of her face.
In her statements to the prosecution, she mentioned finding burns below her right eye and experiencing constant twitching in her right eyelid, which prevents her from closing or opening her eye normally. She accused the doctor of creating wide lateral openings on the sides of her face, which goes against established medical principles in such surgeries.
Riham Saeed stated during the investigations that when she began contacting him to inform him about the worsening disfigurement and injury to her face, he sent her a video recorded during her surgery, showing her naked under general anesthesia, and it was not clear in the video that she was wearing anything to cover her body without medical justification, as the procedure was for her face, not her entire body. She considered this recording an invasion of her privacy.
