Saudi Arabia: 4 Red Alerts Due to Weather

The National Center for Meteorology in Saudi Arabia, in its report on the weather conditions for Saturday, predicted the continuation of moderate to heavy thunderstorm rains leading to flash flooding in several regions of the Kingdom. The center expects the thunderstorm rains to be accompanied by active winds and hail showers in parts of the Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and Makkah regions, extending to the southern parts of the mountains in the Madinah region.

For its part, the Saudi Civil Defense Directorate warned of thunderstorm rains expected in most regions of the Kingdom in the coming days, urging "vigilance and caution, staying away from areas prone to flooding, and following guidelines."

The Civil Defense Directorate issued 4 red alerts in the Jazan, Al-Baha, Asir, and Makkah regions, calling for caution and adherence to guidelines due to the climatic conditions being experienced in those areas in the eastern part of the Kingdom.
