The Egyptian Court of Appeal in Mansoura has sentenced a physics teacher accused of killing one of his students to death by hanging. The court's ruling was based on the approval of Dr. Shawki Allam, the Mufti of Egypt, who was consulted on the legal opinion regarding the execution of the accused, who dismembered the victim's body into three parts and disposed of them in different locations, according to the newspaper "Youm7".
The horrific incident dates back to February 13 of last year when student Ihab Ashraf Abdel Aziz disappeared from the Sitamouni area in Dakahlia after going for a private lesson. His family was later shocked by a call from an unknown person demanding a ransom for the release of the student, before eventually finding part of his body in a water canal.
Suspicion increased against the 25-year-old teacher, as he was the last person seen with the victim. Upon searching his home, authorities found a piece of fabric similar to that used to conceal the victim's body. The accused confessed to the details of his crime, which stemmed from his debts due to gambling addiction, knowing that the victim's father was financially well-off.
