Beirut Wins Title at Doha International Basketball Championship

The Beirut team was crowned champion of the Doha International Basketball Championship, organized by Doha Active Sport under the supervision of the Qatari Basketball Federation over the course of a week. A large audience filled the stands of Al-Gharafa Club during the final match, which Beirut won against the defending champions of the first edition, the Al-Hekma team, with a score of 90-62, with quarter scores of 21-10, 48-27, and 69-47. Beirut becomes the second champion after Al-Hekma, which won the title in the first edition last year. The event was attended by Qatari Basketball Federation President Mohammed Saad Al-Mughaiseeb and other federation members, as well as the Vice President of the Arab Basketball Federation Nadim Hakim, the Secretary-General of the Arab Basketball Federation Abdullah Shalabi, the President of the Iraqi Federation Hussein Al-Aimi, the President of the Egyptian Federation Magdy Abu Freikha, the President of the Kuwaiti Club Bader Al-Asimi, and the Chairman of the Board of the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation Pierre Daher.
