A statement was issued by the Army Command - Directorate of Guidance, stating the following: As part of the security measures implemented by the army, a unit supported by a patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence in the Quba area of Tripoli arrested citizens (M. Sh.) and (A. A.) and the Syrian (M. A.) for their involvement in a dispute and for firing weapons. Additionally, patrols from the Directorate of Intelligence arrested 4 individuals on August 23, 2023, as follows:
- Citizen (A. A.) in the Baalbek market area for crimes of kidnapping, firing at an army patrol, robbery, drug trafficking, and consumption.
- Citizen (M. A.) in the Hara al-Harika area - southern suburb, for crimes of robbery and theft, stabbing a person, firing a weapon, drug consumption, and instigating disputes.
- Syrian (M. A.) in the Sabra area - southern suburb, for crimes of robbery, drug consumption and trafficking, and firing a weapon, with a quantity of cannabis confiscated in his possession.
- Syrian (M. A.) in the Burj al-Barajneh area - southern suburb, for committing drug-related offenses and instigating disputes.
The seized items were handed over, and an investigation was initiated with the detainees under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
