Hamas Sets 3 Conditions for Prisoner Exchange Deal

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority revealed today, Saturday, that Hamas has set three conditions for completing a new prisoner exchange deal, including international guarantees for remaining in power. The conditions also state an end to the war and the withdrawal of the Israeli army from Gaza. Hamas leader Mahmoud Mardawe confirmed that the movement will not discuss any proposals regarding prisoner exchange deals with Israel without a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and that Hamas will not accept temporary truce in exchange for the release of prisoners. In an interview with the Arab World News Agency last Tuesday, he stated, "The proposals coming through intermediaries do not stop, but we will not discuss any proposal that does not include a complete ceasefire, and we will not back down from our position." He added, "No negotiations before the ceasefire and withdrawal, and then we will consider any proposal."
