Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida expressed his happiness over the successful landing of the SLIM station on the moon, despite its solar panels not being able to generate the necessary power for operation. Kishida stated, "Although there are reports that the solar panels on the station could not generate power and a detailed analysis needs to be conducted for that, I believe the news of its landing on the moon brings us great joy. I want to particularly highlight the efforts of all those involved in this work and to follow up on their upcoming accomplishments." The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) announced that the landing of SLIM on the moon was successful as it managed to send some valuable information back to Earth. Japan launched SLIM last September to conduct scientific research on the moon.
