The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the killing of 18-year-old Palestinian Mahmoud Abu Sa'n by Israeli forces during an incursion in the West Bank on Friday, marking one of the bloodiest periods in years. The Ministry revealed that Abu Sa'n was shot in the head in Tulkarem during an operation at a nearby refugee camp, leading to confrontations with Palestinians, according to the official Palestinian news agency (Wafa).
The Israeli army stated that its soldiers fired at suspects who had shot at them and thrown explosives and stones at forces in the vicinity of Tulkarem in northern West Bank. They noted that one person was injured but did not report any casualties among their forces.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry described Abu Sa'n's killing as a "field execution" and called on the International Criminal Court to "break its silence and expedite its investigations into Israel's crimes."
Hamas mourned Abu Sa'n but did not state that he was a member. In a statement, they declared, "Our people’s revolution continues until the occupation is removed."
Additionally, residents of the village of Burqa reported that Israeli settlers entered the village, throwing stones and setting vehicles on fire. A witness noted that young people from the village confronted them with stones, but the settlers opened fire, killing one person and injuring others. The Palestinian Ministry of Health indicated that a 19-year-old named Qusai Jamal Ma'tan was killed in the incident. The Israeli army stated it is verifying the report.
