The Sharia office in the institution of the reference Sayyid Muhammad Hussein Fadlallah announced that Sunday, June 16, 2024, will be the first day of Eid al-Adha, based on the jurisprudential opinion of the reference and relying on precise astronomical scientific calculations. It added: "We ask God Almighty to accept the actions in the month of Hajj and to return this occasion to Muslims with goodness, blessings, mercy, relief, and honor. We pray for the relief of our nation and victory over our enemies; indeed, He is the Hearer of prayers and the Most Merciful of the merciful."
