The Gaza Ministry of Health announced that the Israeli army committed a "horrific massacre" today, Tuesday, after bombing a residential neighborhood adjacent to the Indonesian hospital in Jabaliya, northern Gaza, resulting in hundreds of martyrs and injured individuals. The ministry reported over 400 deaths, according to initial estimates, noting that this number may be the largest and could approach the death toll from the Baptist Hospital massacre, as the area targeted was "densely populated."
In a conversation with "Al Jazeera," the ministry spokesman described the situation in the hospital as "extremely catastrophic," indicating that the majority of the victims are children and women. The Gaza Ministry of Interior stated that the Jabaliya camp was struck by six bombs weighing one ton each, completely destroying a residential area in the camp. The director of the Indonesian hospital reported that the bombing victims suffer from burns and disfigurements, indicating that the occupation used "internationally banned weapons" in the attack and noted that the hospital will cease operation entirely tomorrow evening due to a fuel shortage.
For his part, a spokesperson for the Civil Defense in Gaza said that what happened in Jabaliya is not the first massacre against civilians in the sector, pointing out that there are numerous citizens on the ground among the dead and wounded.
