The Minister of Environment in the caretaker government, Nasser Yassin, held discussions in London with the British Minister of State for Climate, Environment, and Energy, and member of the House of Lords, Richard Benyon. The talks focused on supporting Lebanon in developing environmental programs and projects, particularly the Green Investment Fund launched by the Ministry of Environment months ago at the climate conference. The Minister of Environment also met with the Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa at the British Foreign Office, Sam Grout Smith, and held a series of meetings to explain the work program for the Green Investment Facility, which the Ministry of Environment has developed in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme. This included the participation of the "Cedar Oxygen" team, which assists in developing the investment portfolio of the facility, where ways to collaborate with global financing institutions and methods to enhance opportunities for green investments and those linked to climate action were presented.
