The military command – Directorate of Guidance announced in a statement that "as part of the security measures being carried out by the military institution in various areas, a unit of the army, assisted by a patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence, arrested the Syrian national (A.M.) wanted for committing terrorist acts." The statement added: "Intelligence Directorate patrols also arrested 4 individuals as follows:
- The Palestinian (A.F.) for forming an armed gang engaged in robbery and theft by force, having executed approximately 100 robbery operations in various areas, most of them along the airport road. This arrested individual also previously engaged in arms trafficking and instigating disturbances and gunfire.
- The citizens (S.H.) and (H.M.) in the Burj Hammoud area for drug use and trafficking and possessing a quantity of drugs, with the first individual also engaging in arms and ammunition trafficking.
- The citizen (T.A.) in the Sabtieh area for engaging in arms and ammunition trafficking, with a large quantity seized from his residence along with military equipment.
It was noted that "the seized items have been handed over, and investigations with the detainees have commenced under the supervision of the competent judiciary."
