The teams from the regional economy office in the south seized 16.5 tons of Masse cacao, a material used in chocolate production, during inspections of chocolate factories in the areas of Tyre, Sidon, Salhiya, and Mejdel in the Jezzine district. Additionally, they found 151 boxes of expired cornflakes, estimated to be worth around half a million dollars, in one of the large chocolate manufacturing and exporting facilities. In the same context, a large quantity of expired raw materials was seized in two other chocolate production facilities. As a result, three seizure reports were issued against the owners of the violating facilities, and the seized goods were confiscated pending written approval from the Public Prosecution in the south for their disposal.
