Joan Laporta, the president of FC Barcelona, commented on the completion of the transfer of rival Real Madrid for Kylian Mbappé, the former star of Paris Saint-Germain. Laporta said in statements to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo": "As a Barcelona fan, it's not good news to see Mbappé in a Real Madrid shirt." He added: "To be honest, I prefer our strategy to rely on trusting a project that includes players produced and crafted in La Masia." He concluded his remarks by saying: "I respect our competitors, but I maintain our philosophy." It is noteworthy that Barcelona has hired German coach Hans Flick to lead the Catalan team starting next season, succeeding Xavi Hernández.
