Syrian President Bashar Assad met with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud to discuss ways to enhance the relationship between their countries. The meeting, held on the sidelines of the 33rd Arab Summit in the Bahraini capital Manama, reviewed methods to strengthen bilateral ties and addressed several issues of mutual interest.
Attending the meeting were Saudi Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Minister of State and Member of the Saudi Council of Ministers Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd, Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, Minister of National Guard Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, and Saudi National Security Advisor and Member of the Council of Ministers Mousaed bin Mohammed Al Aiban.
The 33rd Arab Summit commenced on Thursday in Manama, attended by several Arab leaders and foreign guests. The summit will discuss formulating a unified Arab stance regarding the Palestinian issue and the rights of the Palestinian people amid ongoing hostilities in Gaza for over seven months, the humanitarian crisis in Sudan, as well as issues related to Arab joint action in political, economic, social, cultural, and security fields.
