Israeli Army Destroys Rocket Launch Sites in Rafah (Video)

The Israeli army announced the destruction of rocket launch sites in eastern Rafah that were directed towards Israel. The Israeli army shared a video on its "X" account, claiming it showed the operation to find the rocket launch sites. The army stated that the platforms found by Israeli soldiers were located along the Philadelphi Corridor in eastern Rafah. It emphasized the continuation of operations in Rafah against all terrorist targets.

Israeli military radio reported on Wednesday that Israeli forces control half of the southern border of the Gaza Strip with Egypt, and they are present as far as the Brazil neighborhood in eastern Rafah.

The army has doubled the number of brigades operating in the Rafah area, according to the radio report, which the Israeli army declined to comment on. Israel asserts that controlling the Philadelphi Corridor is crucial to achieving its goal of defeating Hamas, but achieving that may jeopardize the peace treaty the country signed with Egypt 45 years ago, which stipulates the number of forces both countries can deploy in the area.
