Following heavy rainfall in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a video circulated on social media showing a "strange phenomenon" involving sand. In the video, a young man describes the event, saying: "The ground is trembling; this is a strange phenomenon. The ground is wet and moving. Look how the earth shakes; see how I shake the ground with my hands; look at the flood."
The report adds that "unusual" rains have been witnessed in the desert areas of the Arabian Peninsula, leading to certain areas appearing elastic after filling with rainwater. Many activists reacted to the video, with some noting that this phenomenon is known as "saturated ground," while others expressed fear at witnessing it. Some people also mentioned that it is a normal phenomenon that occurs repeatedly after significant rainfall.
In recent days, the Kingdom experienced a large amount of rainfall, while the UAE, Oman, and Bahrain faced severe storms that resulted in significant losses.
