Avigdor Lieberman Reveals "Netanyahu's Offer"

Israeli right-wing politician Avigdor Lieberman disclosed that he received an offer from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last week to return as Minister of Defense, as reported by the newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth." Lieberman stated, "A few days ago I received an offer to return to the position of Minister of Defense, but we don't get bitten by the snake twice." He added, "I prefer to wait for the elections. Meanwhile, the Iranians are rushing toward the nuclear bomb and planning a multi-front attack on Israel, while our government is preoccupied with political survival." Lieberman has repeatedly criticized Netanyahu, stating that "the Israeli government has reached its end," and that "getting rid of Netanyahu would be a reward for the Israelis." In 2016, Lieberman drafted an 11-page document warning of Hamas plans to penetrate the Gaza Strip, invade communities in southern Israel, and carry out massacres and hostage-taking.
