# Arrest of a Drug Trafficking Gang in Tyre

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division announced that as a result of ongoing field and investigative efforts exerted by security units to identify drug traffickers and arrest them, information was received by the Information Division regarding unknown individuals promoting drugs in the city of Tyre and its surroundings.

As a result of the investigations and inquiries carried out by the division, the identities of three traffickers were identified:

- F. H. (born in 1973, Palestinian), wanted by the judiciary under an arrest warrant for drug use.

- M. A. (born in 1995, Syrian)

- M. H. (born in 1995, Syrian)

On July 3, 2023, after careful surveillance, the division's patrols managed to arrest them in a simultaneous operation in the city of Tyre. The first suspect's vehicle was a BMW, while the second was a Mercedes.

Upon searching them and their vehicles, 2,080 grams of hashish, seven envelopes (weighing 7 grams each) containing cocaine base, and 137 pills of various narcotic types, as well as cigarette rolling papers, a sum of money, and four mobile phones were seized.

Upon searching the residence of the third suspect in Tyre, 459 pills of various narcotic types, five envelopes containing hashish, seven rolling papers, and a plastic container with narcotic pills were seized.

During the investigation, they confessed to the charges against them regarding drug promotion to several clients in the city of Tyre and its suburbs, as well as their own drug use.

Legal action was taken against them, and they, along with the seized items, were referred to the appropriate authority upon judicial instruction.
