Russia Develops a New Generation of Civil Transport Ships

The Russian company "Seatech" announced that it has begun developing a new generation of civil transport ships as part of the government program aimed at improving transportation operations in the Primorsky region of Russia. A statement issued by the company indicated that the new ship, which has been under construction at the Russian "Livadia" shipbuilding and repair yard, will be launched into the water in 2025. It clarified that the ship will be equipped with special water wings to enhance its movement and increase its speed. Each ship of the new generation will be 32.8 meters long, 10.6 meters wide, with a displacement of 140 tons, a speed of 35 knots, and a capacity for 200 passengers in addition to a crew of four members.
