Blinken: Russia Must Pay for the Destruction It Caused in Ukraine

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced today that "the international community must make Russia pay for the destruction it has caused in Ukraine during more than two years of war." Blinken stated, "What Russian President Vladimir Putin has destroyed, Russia must pay to rebuild," adding, "We have given Congress the authority to seize Russian assets in the United States, and we intend to use it." The Secretary of State pledged that the United States will support Ukraine until its security against Russia is "guaranteed."
