A source following the investigation into the case of the child Lin Taleb informed "Asharq Al-Awsat" that "suspicions have intensified towards the uncle who was interrogated and detained last Thursday, despite his denial of what he has done, especially regarding the matching DNA tests taken from the victim child and him." The source pointed out that "the investigating judge in northern Lebanon, Samirinda Nassar, received answers to the inquiries she submitted to the security agencies, requesting the extraction of the uncle's phone content and determining his geographical location during the time of the crime."
The judicial source, who preferred to remain anonymous, stated: "Since receiving the laboratory tests and interrogation responses, Judge Nassar quickly summoned the uncle and interrogated him. Initially, he denied the accusations against him, but she confronted him with evidence regarding the matching DNA tests and the evidence found on his phone, where he contradicted his statements and provided false information that contradicted what he had said." The source noted that Nassar "was able to grasp the threads of the crime and successfully cross-referenced the information, medical reports, and DNA results to identify the perpetrator of the crime."
It was mentioned that "all evidence indicates that the child's mother and grandparents were aware of the incident of her being raped by the uncle, but they covered up the crime to prevent him from being discovered and detained. They also refrained from taking the child to a doctor and providing her with medical treatment, despite knowing that her health and psychological condition were deteriorating rapidly."
