Medication Shortage... and a Firm Decision for Pharmacies

Pharmacists' Union Chief Joe Seloum pointed out that "there is a shortage of medications, and prices are linked to the dollar rate and the indicators issued by the Ministry of Health." Seloum revealed, in an interview with Voice of Lebanon, that "in light of the major crisis and the inability of citizens to find baby formula and cancer medications, we will hold a very important meeting next Thursday with syndical forces and labor unions to urge officials to elect a president for the republic immediately, form an effective government, and take serious steps to save the sectors." He warned that "if these demands are not met, there will be escalatory steps announced subsequently, including closing pharmacies that are already empty of most medications and carrying out ground movements."
