Members of the committee monitoring the preparation of the national document in Bkerke held a meeting at the patriarchal edifice in Bkerke, focusing on the heinous crime that targeted Pascal Suleiman, the coordinator of the Lebanese Forces in Jbeil. The members stated in a statement: "The Lebanese people wake up to painful and grave events, the latest being the kidnapping and assassination of Pascal Suleiman, the coordinator of the Lebanese Forces in the Jbeil district."
They considered that "this heinous crime constitutes a direct threat to the safety of Lebanese citizens, and places the Lebanese state, with its security, military, and judicial apparatuses, in front of its responsibility to confront this crime, affirming its role in protecting the Lebanese, preserving civil peace, and cutting off the roots of the aggressors."
They stressed that "revealing the complete truth along with establishing justice is the only limit we desire, and we will not accept anything less, noting that wisdom and calmness are essential in this dangerous phase that our beloved country is experiencing."
They added: "As we extend our warmest and deepest condolences to all Lebanese, to the Lebanese Forces party, and to the family of the dear deceased Pascal Suleiman, we ask for prayers for his soul and the continuation of peaceful and pressing support for the investigation proceedings until the truth is revealed and justice is established, away from any pitfalls that do not serve civil peace and the choice of a free, sovereign, just, and independent state, a state of law and institutions.
