The UK Maritime Trade Operations has announced today, Sunday, that a fire on a commercial ship has been extinguished after it was attacked off the Yemeni coast in the Gulf of Aden. The agency reported on its website that "the captain stated that the ship was hit by an unknown projectile, and there was a small fire at the anchorage, which has now been reported as extinguished." It added, "It has been reported that all crew members are safe and the ship is now heading to its next destination." The UK agency urged ships to "transit with caution and report any suspicious activity in the Gulf."
