Tala Al-Khalil from Iraq has been awarded as the first "Maker of Hope" among more than 58,000 nominations received in the fourth edition of "Makers of Hope," the largest initiative of its kind in the Arab world to honor those who contribute and sacrifice for humanitarian efforts and community initiatives aimed at improving their societies. This recognition took place during the closing ceremony held at the "Coca-Cola Arena" in Dubai, where the winner was awarded a financial prize of one million dirhams.

The closing ceremony was attended by a selection of influential media, humanitarian, and cultural figures from the Arab world. It featured the operetta "The Arab Dream," which the "Makers of Hope" initiative revived to celebrate the top "Makers of Hope" of its fourth edition. The event presented inspiring humanitarian stories highlighting a number of humanitarian champions who dedicated their efforts and resources to serve their communities, prior to crowning the first Maker of Hope in the Arab world.

The judging panel of the "Makers of Hope" initiative selected the final nominees based on the significant impact these initiatives have had on their communities, supported by evidence, facts, and figures. The selected initiative succeeded in addressing a specific problem and providing innovative solutions, utilizing the available resources to achieve their desired goals, while also engaging with local community components, both individuals and institutions, to involve them in an effort to promote a culture of volunteering and community cohesion.
