Al Habtoor Group has revealed the initial stages of launching a new television channel in Beirut, in a significant move to enhance the media and economic landscape in Lebanon. Additionally, a city of studios is being established to meet global quality standards. The channel and studio city are expected to provide opportunities for over 300 Lebanese in fields such as journalism, production, and the arts, thereby strengthening the media environment and contributing to local economic stimulation.
Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, founder and chairman of Al Habtoor Group, expressed his enthusiasm for this new initiative, stating: "The resilience and spirit of the Lebanese people is a true inspiration. We aim to harness this energy to spread hope, happiness, and positivity through our new channel. Our commitment is not only to create a channel but also to enhance a thriving media environment for professionals."
Al Habtoor added: "This initiative is not just about broadcasting television. We are committed to empowering the local workforce and positively contributing to reviving Lebanon's economy."
In the context of ongoing support for the project, the Lebanese government has expressed its backing for this investment initiative, facilitating the licensing process and creating a welcoming environment for the project.
Furthermore, Al Habtoor Group is developing a studio city in Lebanon, covering an area of 100,000 square meters, which will become a major hub for film and television production, enhancing the country’s appeal as a preferred destination for international filmmakers.
This initiative arises from the global challenges that communities have faced, aimed at promoting positivity in daily life, and providing inspiring and motivating content ranging from cultural shows and social talk programs to sports, entertainment, and health awareness.
